Rotate engine until exhaust valve begins to open. This will ensure the intake lifter is on the base circle of the cam. 2. Rotate push rod and tighten rocker arm until you feel it start to drag and then go 1/2 turn more. 3. Then rotate engine until intake valve is completely open and repeat step 2 for the exhaust valve.
